THINGS TO BE PROUD OF - W458

    DAVID CHAN

For the way he has joined back Security ministry after his army & knee injury
For the way he takes care of younger members

(Matthew + Carey - Hmm... maybe not Carey... lol)
For the persistency in collecting CG fund so that we always have more than enough to do outreaches, buy refreshment & prizes during CG meetings, & YOUR birthday present. Yes... YOURS! (So on behalf of David, "Pay up now!")

    CAREY TAN

For his uncompromising willingness to play the guitar for every CG meeting
For his time in producing song sheets for the CG every week
His willingness to offer help even in the midst of his exams
    Young man, immeasurable potential

    TORRANCE TAI

The young man of God that made up for lost time with his speedy progress in ministry
The young man who loves worship
The young man who is available when called upon
The young man who wants to achieve greater things for Christ

    SING YEE

The ordinary made to become extraordinary by God
The usher made to become a team I/C by the God-values she chose to stand upon
The member made to become a child of God who love to grow deeper in her walk with God

    GABRIEL

In CHC since his Children's Church days.
The ability to have deeper insights on the Word & communicate it to the rest of the CG has become an EN-jection to many
His unfailing love for God through the years is an example for many

    BEN WANG

The young chap that loves DOTA... ops... wrong entry...
For the way he has rose up to responsibilities in his life: his love for his family, responding to the call into ministry to serve, rising up in his ministry, organising stuff for the CG, etc...
2007 is only the beginning... the tip of the ice berg... 2008 - more responsibility, more growth

    AILIN

God can use anyone, & God used Ailin
Willingness, availability, teachability & accountability can be expressed through this life
If there's someone who have made the greatest impact in the CG in 2007, it just might be her

    HUAN LI

It's been a great joy to many members looking at how you've got to know God more, & embarked on this life journey with Him
Times when you start praying softly in tongues during prayer meetings + CGs, times when you receive bible studies from CG members, times when you start to worship God in Church + CGs... & many other times...
Keep on drawing closer to God! Look forward to your growth in CHC

A big round of applause for everyone! Let's all keep moving forward in 2008, believing for greater individual + corporate CG growth!

& remember. Guys, I AM PROUD OF YOU!!!

    In His love,
    BK

    New Year's Function

    Is anybody here!?!?

Last Friday we had a function to start off the new year of 2008. To start off with, we played some exciting games. After about an hour and a half of games, we had a time of sharing. Some of us went up to share about the goals we have set last year 2007 and whether we have achieved what we have set and not to forget the goals we have set for 2008.

It was a great time of sharing. We would like to thank, Eileen, Ailin, Torrance and Sing yee for sharing with us what they have achieved and done, JIA YOU! I am sure for most of us 2007 was a great year, but 2008 will be a greater year.

By now most of you would have filled in you goal setting card for 2008. Lets all begin to achieve what we have set for 2008.

1 Tim 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

    2008 is here!!

(The following dialogue is fiction and definitely non-coincidental with anyone on this earth)

Me: Good evening Sir! I, recruit Loh Wei Hao NRIC number S89XXXXXY request for permission to blog on CG blog.
    BK: Good evening. Carry on.
    Me: Thank you Sir!

Hi guys! Miss you all, esp. God’s house! Just want to say a big “HAPPY NEW YEAR” to everyone and share my experience as 2007 closes and 2008 is ushered in.

In 2007, I learnt to love and trust God more.

In 2007, I learnt to accept myself more and just commit all my mistakes to Jesus, my High Priest.

In 2007, I saw how God transformed a U [ungraded] student to a student who has improved tremendously. Just a quick testimony: I have received a Good Progress Award from CDC and CCC which is an award voucher of $200. Praise God and all glory to Him!

In 2007, I experienced God’s protection. Recently, after my family sent me off to Pasir Ris to book in to army, they got involved in a minor car accident. Thank God for His protection and that none of my family members are hurt.

Hmmm...I wonder what’s in store from God in 2008? Definitely something exceedingly and abundantly more than what i can think or imagine :)
